My brain died last night.
I have had a "headache" (i.e. worse than the regular one I have all the time) for a couple of days, the kind that only goes away with total relaxation in one of two ways. Yesterday just before I left work it started to escalate into borderline migraine, so I took the super-drugs when I got home and had a nice bath.

At some point between getting out of the bath and my parents getting home my brain just stalled and then died completely. I don't remember eating dinner, I don't remember anything I did up here but I must have changed into shorts and t-shirt, put 'Darkness Radio' on the lappy and then stretched out and gone to sleep.

Mum reckons I was asleep when she came upstairs at 8pm, but I must have been awake again at about 9:30pm because the only thing I do remember is turning on my radio and sitting for a while trying to figure out why Russell Brand wasn't on. I don't know why I woke up and I must have gone back to sleep again right afterwards.

I just woke up 10 minutes ago, the headache has returned to normal but I have a slightly 'spaced' feeling which is probably drug related. I have also emailed my neurologist to let him know. Apart from being a bit light-headed from that much sleep all at once I feel back to normal.

Yikes, that's scary.

Also, I'm sorry that headaches are normal for you. *hug*

Thanks, but I've been living with a 'normal' level of headache for almost 2 years now so I am more than able to handle it. Luckily I have quite a high pain threshold anyway, and it does grind me sometimes, but mostly it's fine.

The escalated versions on the other hand are a whole different kettle of ball-games, they make my eyes flash harlequin and I throw up pretty much anything that passes my lips, the only way to knock them on the head is usually either copious amounts of (*cough*) orgasms or sleep or the pain jab in the bum that the Doc gives me sometimes. Sometimes all 3. :o)

So anyway, the sleep and horse pills seem to have dealt with it so it's back to a hum in the background which I am quite happy with. Everytime it get worse I am reminded to count my blessings for the times it's 'normal' My neurologist wants to see me tuesday first thing so I shall hopefully find out a bit more then, but if he says the word 'stroke' I shall hit the roof.

*huggles*
