I was listening to the "Sounds of the Sixties" on Radio 2 this morning while coffee was brewing, I was transported back to my very youth when Brian Matthew played a song by Perry Como called "Delaware." It's a song which plays on the names of U.S. States and is one of the songs we had on a travelling tape when we drove back from Italy. I haven't heard it for years, can't find it on youtube. I've ordered one of his CD's from Play.com that has it on, but it's out of stock, so in the meantime I am posting the lyrics here:
