EDIT: New Icon Done.
Feel really crappy, it started yesterday, but at first it was just the sneezing/runny noses and I thought I was allergic to the new incense mum and dad bought me from Stourhead on Saturday (I think I still am) then I wondered if it was hayfever, but I've taken my pills which usually work really well and quickly. I got to work an hour before start-time so I could use the filtered ventilation system to calm it down before I had to get on the phones.
12pm came and went and I still couldn't breathe. About 12:30-ish my throat started to hurt and I started to cough, then the rest of the symptoms descended. I spent the rest of the afternoon off the phones helping Mary with the underwriting cases since I couldn't speak without coughing by that point. Mary let me go home when I was finished the 11 cases I had so I came home, couldn't face eating anything so came upstairs and did some gargling and emailing.
Dad bought me some ice cream up later on, mmmmm spagnola very good for sore throats, and I started trying to watch Monarchy again but I kept falling alseep, moe a testament to my state, than the interest of David Starkey. Shame 'cos I was really interested.
I went to bed early and was up about 2:30am turning off my computer and gargling again, then slept straight through until 9am. This morning I am aching and have the shakes really badly, I have put off visiting the hospital and my sister today because I'm not sure I can drive long distances. My brains have been replaced by cotton wool and I can barely speak.
The only consolations I have, are that I will be all better in time for the ball Friday and my time off next week, especially since there's so much to organise. Also, I will be gaming next Wednesday night which I haven't done in a very long time so I am quite excited. (Yay)
For now though, dad has brought me a nice hot cup of tea with honey for my froak and I am going to drink it, make myself a "sick" icon and chat with my chum who's on in MSN. I shall probably end up back in bed before the end of the day. :(
Get well *hugs and virtual chicken soup for all who are under the weather today.
