Longer - Dan Fogelberg

Lyrics:
Longer than, there've been fishes in the ocean
Higher than, any bird ever flew
Longer than, there've been stars up in the heavens
I've been in love with you.

Stronger than, any mountain or cathedral
Truer than, any tree ever grew
Deeper than, any forest primeval
I am in love with you.

I'll bring fires in the winters
You'll send showers in the springs
We'll fly through the falls and summers
With love on our wings.

Through the years, as the fire starts to mellow
Burning lines in the book of our lives
Though the binding cracks, and the pages start to yellow
I'll be in love with you.

Longer than, there've been fishes in the ocean
Higher than, any bird ever flew
Longer than, there've been stars up in the heavens
I've been in love with you
I am in love with you.

I like my drive to work.

I know some people want to live as near to their job as possible, I assume it's so they don't have to get up so early and get home so late, but I like having a bit of a drive.

I like listening to the radio, I enjoy driving itself and I realised after my llama post yesterday that I finally know my way to work, the sudden t-junction around a bend doesn't surprise me anymore, I am looking at my surroundings more, now that I don't have to constantly watch the road and I really like it.

I've seen a black lambs face poking out of a field before now, but never noticed that the field is actually full of black sheep! Today I noticed. I also noticed a lovely semi-circular treeline high up on a hill to the left as I approach the A606 which signals the end of the 'country' bit of the drive and the start of the 'busy' bit.

I noticed all the little farms and houses set back from the road, I thought how nice it would be to live in a couple of them and have a gorgeous view out over the countryside. I'm beginning to wonder if I am made for country-living? Little villages and local shops.

I prepare mentally for the day on my drive and I wind down afterwards on my way home, my brain works on its own things and leaves me unencumbered to enjoy the view and the experience.

I like my drive to work.
