Busy, Sleepy me
Jun. 17th, 2005 03:00 amWell, that's torn it...just as I started looking forward to training new girl to help out with graveyard shifts, we're going to have to flippin' well fire her tomorrow !!! (Well, Allison is)
I'm very bummed off, even though we have hired 2 guys who both only want graveyard shifts it's going to be a while before they're trained. The biggest problem with this is that now there won't be anyone trained before I go on holiday at the end of July which is going to leave Alli in the schtook!!
I had a day off yesterday but I don't really feel like it. I'm really very tired, I didn't sleep at all on Wednesday until late, then I managed about 9 hours of sleep after 26 hours awake, woke up at 9am this morning and couldn't go back to sleep. Haven't been able to sleep all day and now here I am at work, barely even able to keep my eyes open!! I am going home early tomorrow and going to bed with drugs if necessary.
On the good news front, I got a parcel from mum with some fab pictures of AJ at the steam museum near my sisters house. I can't believe how big he's getting, he'll be 3 this August and he is so gorgeous.
Also on the good news front, I met one of Allis friends at a jewellery aprty this evening, and I found out some good information about adoption processes over here. I have a lot of phonecalls to make to find out the exact scoop but it sounds like it might be within our reach once we have a house to ourselves.
