Scrolls of turning are good, but the thing to remember is that you have to have over 50 blood points to use them. (I've been caught out that way before.)
Gargamadua is currently on a perception quest - another 8 days to find and kill a vampire hunter. She nearly got one this morning, but ran out of AP :(
