Today is my day off, I have another day off Wednesday which is really good. I am then working all of the weekend which is not so good. Today I am going over to D&T's to fix their computer and update their anti-virus software, I actually quite like to go there, they have a gorgeous house and it gives me an excuse to go for a walk afterwards at Coate Water since they live right behind the park and I can leave my car in their drive and walk through the gold course to the park.
I also have a bunch of other stuff to get done, mostly sewing type stuff. I have got my sewing machine out to make some alterations, do some repairs and try out all the gadgets, like the buttonhole adaptor. It appeals to my button-pushing nature since I haven't got the instructions and couldn't find them online, so I just have to fiddle with it until it works :) I want to finish the cover for my machine so I can leave it out, it's much easier to keep my sewing up to date if I do it as I go along rather than storing stuff up until I have space to get the machine out again.
I have some more work to do on my staff, Dad has made me a thumb-staff with some antler, and I found a few strands of leather that I want to have another go at Turk knotting around it, it appears turkshead knots are another "here be dragons" for me, whereby as soon as I leave Penenden Heath I forget how to do it. A bit like crocheting :)
I also have to finish sticking together my Greek luck house that dad knocked off the wall and smashed into (fairly big) chunks on the floor. I have got most of the 'bits' stuck together into two halves, now I just have to stick the two halves together and re-paint the cracked window edges.
I like this kind of day, nothing much important planned, a chance to get out in the nice weather and get some exercise, and mop up all the "bits and bobs" that just seem to hang around.
I hope everyone else has a good Sunday.
